The children in Year 1 had a wonderful day exploring Kew Gardens. The children loved exploring both the Palm House and the Temperate House and seeing first-hand all the amazing plants that grow there. The trip vividly brought to life their science learning about plants.
Thanks so much to all the parent volunteers who were so supportive and helpful on the day. We couldn't have done it without you.
The children in Year One enjoyed every minute of their time at the Mini Olympics at Queens’ School in Bushey. They got to experience a wide variety of events from relay races to javelin throwing to giving their all in the long jump. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the parent volunteers who supported us on the trip and to Miss Kirby and Mr Shaw, our PE coordinators, for arranging the event.
Making Prehistoric Beasts
In history, the children have been fascinated learning all about prehistoric beasts. They had a lot of fun modelling clay to make their own woolly mammoths and sabre tooth tigers. Once the clay was dry, we spent an artistic afternoon painting their clay models.
Searching For Signs Of Spring
The children really enjoyed their trip to Cassiobury Park. They discovered lots of evidence that Spring really is here as they found daffodils, cherry blossom, bumble bees and bluebells. A big thank you to all the parents who gave up their time to accompany the children and help bring their science learning to life.
A big well done to all the Year 1 children for creating our stunning Easter egg display. We have all been so impressed with the children’s creative and colourful designs. Please do pop into the school’s foyer because their beautiful display is well worth admiring.
