The children in Year 1 had a wonderful day exploring Kew Gardens. The children loved exploring both the Palm House and the Temperate House and seeing first-hand all the amazing plants that grow there. The trip vividly brought to life their science learning about plants.
Thanks so much to all the parent volunteers who were so supportive and helpful on the day. We couldn't have done it without you.
The children in Year One enjoyed every minute of their time at the Mini Olympics held at Queens’ School in Bushey. They got to experience a wide variety of events from relay races to javelin throwing to giving their all in the long jump.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all the parent volunteers who supported us on the trip and to Miss Kirby and Mr Shaw, our PE coordinators, for arranging the event.
In history, the children have been fascinated learning all about prehistoric beasts. They had a lot of fun modelling clay to make their own woolly mammoths and sabre tooth tigers. Once the clay was dry, we spent an artistic afternoon painting their clay models.
The children have settled back into school very well following their Easter holidays. We made the most of the sunshine by teaching both maths and English outdoors. Our playground was transformed into a stage when the children acted out the story of The Lonely Beast.
The children demonstrated their reasoning when they learnt how to multiple numbers in maths. In their ICT lesson, they wrote code to programme Daisy the Dinosaur to perform some cool dance moves.
