Today we went to the Church!

We had lots of fun and we learnt everything about a church. They showed us all the parts of a church and who works there!

We also talked about Christmas and what we want for this year!

Christmas is coming smiley

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all the parents that have come to the "Welcome to the EYFS" meeting!

Please see below the Power Point that we used to introduce what we do in EYFS and also the Phonics Workshop.

Please, see the "Moon" Class Page.

I have also attached a video explaining the phonics sounds that we will be learning.

Christmas Pictures in Stars Class

The photographer visited us today and he took lots of lovely pictures for Stars Class. We also had our class picture in our Christmas clothes!

A great start of the week

Today we started the day with our "Busy fingers workshop". We had lots of fun and we worked in our fine motor skills. Stars parents said: "It was very helpful, thanks for inviting us"

24/10/17

“ Yo estoy muy bien” - “ I am feeling great”

In Spanish, this term we have been learning about at colours and greetings. Stars Class is now able to say in Spanish: “I am feeling great”, as per the picture below.

We also played PE games in which we had to follow different instructions depending on the colour card we were holding. For example: “Stand up if you have rojo (red card)”

17/10/17

Funky fingers to start our day

After register, we always find a few minutes to improve our fine motor skills. We have been copying patterns using pegs to develop our maths and finger skills at the same time. Well done, Stars!

Our first trip ever, visiting Cassiobury Park

We had an amazing afternoon walking together to Cassiobury park. In our first school trip we learnt how to be safe!

We became explorers looking for autumnal signs in nature. We found: red, yellow and brown leaves, fungus, chestnuts and other autumnal treasures.

A big thank you to all the adults that helped us on this trip!

Physical development is key in EYFS

In reception we love PE and we challenge ourselves in our lessons. When we are in the playground we play different games and run through circuits to improve our gross motor skills. Stars, can you come up with a circuit you would like your friends to practice at school?
